Research what is meant by "I desire Mercy, not sacrifice" Try to find the phrase in your Bible. Contemplate the meaning of the passage and pray to God for wisdom.
By taking the Five Precepts, which are:
- To refrain from killing any living being.
- To refrain from stealing or taking what is not ours.
- To refrain from sexual misconduct, that is, from hurting others through our sexuality.
- To refrain from speaking what is not true.
- To refrain from using alcohol or drugs that cause us to be careless or heedless.
You will be on your start to a New Life and True Salvation.
We take up our cross and follow Jesus each day. We who live in the community of Jesus must seek, not to dominate others, but to serve them. We live, not for our own glory, but for God, to whom belongs the kingdom, and the glory, and the power.
